Terms of Service
Last updated: April 3, 2026
Welcome to DeleteFrom ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DeleteFrom website, platform, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
DeleteFrom provides a personal data protection platform that scans publicly accessible databases, data broker sites, people-search engines, spam aggregators, and other sources ("Data Sources") to identify where your personal information may exist. Upon your authorization, we submit data removal requests, opt-out requests, and deletion requests to these Data Sources on your behalf.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements. If you are using the Service on behalf of a minor (e.g., as a parent or guardian), you assume full responsibility.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Authorization
By using the Service, you expressly authorize DeleteFrom to act as your agent and representative for the purpose of:
- Searching Data Sources to identify where your personal data appears;
- Submitting opt-out, removal, and deletion requests on your behalf;
- Following up on pending requests and verifying successful removals;
- Monitoring Data Sources for new appearances of your personal data.
This authorization remains in effect for the duration of your active subscription and terminates upon cancellation of your account.
5. Nature of the Service - Best Effort
The Service is provided on a "best effort" basis. While we strive to remove your personal data from as many Data Sources as possible, we cannot guarantee complete removal from all sources. Specifically:
- Data Sources may not comply. Some Data Sources may refuse, delay, or fail to process removal requests despite legal obligations. We will continue to follow up, but we cannot force third parties to act.
- Public records may be exempt. Government databases, court records, voter registration rolls, and other public records may be legally exempt from deletion requests under applicable law.
- Data may reappear. Data Sources may re-acquire your information from public records or other sources after removal. Our monitoring service is designed to detect and address re-listings, but we cannot prevent them from occurring.
- Coverage is not exhaustive. While we scan hundreds of Data Sources, the total number of databases containing personal data is vast and constantly changing. We may not identify every source.
6. Subscription and Payment
Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees as described on our pricing page. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your account settings.
- Free tier: Provides exposure scanning only. No removal services are included.
- Paid tiers: Include automated removal, continuous monitoring, and additional features as described on the pricing page.
7. Refund Policy
Please refer to our Refund Policy for details on refunds, cancellations, and credits.
8. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate personal information for the purpose of data scanning and removal;
- Use the Service only for your own data or data you are legally authorized to manage (e.g., your minor children);
- Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to stalking, harassment, or unauthorized surveillance of others;
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the Service;
- Not submit false information or impersonate another person.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, software, designs, trademarks, and other materials on the Service are owned by or licensed to DeleteFrom. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- DeleteFrom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or reputation, arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for the actions or inactions of third-party Data Sources, including their failure to process removal requests.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all data will be successfully removed.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DeleteFrom, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will not be liable for any consequences of termination.
15. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
